Software Engineer

2011-13 | Full Time | San Diego, California

We currently have an immediate position available for a Software Engineer to support development and rollout of next generation products and services in Geospatial, Wireless Telecommunications, and Cloud Computing industries.  As a member of our core software engineering team, you will have an exciting and challenging opportunity to build “real-world” products from the ground up that revolutionize the way our customers visualize, analyze, and disseminate petabytes of data and information.

Minimum Qualifications:

• B.S. or M.S. degree in Computer Science, related field, or relevant experience.
• 3+ years professional software development with Java and/or Python.
• Experience developing web based applications using AJAX and REST.
• Strong working knowledge of Unix/Linux operating systems.
• Experience with Amazon Web Services (EC2, S3) a plus.
• A passion and drive for relentless innovation is required.

Responsibilities:

• Write exceptional code as a key member of the core Software Engineering team.
• Develop computational algorithms and applications that run on public and private clouds.
• Design, develop, and implement our products and services from the ground up.
• Drive concepts to reality for next generation products.
• Domestic and International travel as needed.
