Senior System/Platform Engineer (Solaris)

We currently have an immediate position available for a Sr. System/Platform Engineer (Solaris) to support our flagship product line. As a member of our core software engineering team, you will have an exciting and challenging opportunity to build “real-world” products from the ground up that revolutionize the way our customers visualize, analyze, and disseminate petabytes of data and information.

Minimum Qualifications:

• B.S. or M.S. degree in Computer Science, related field, or relevant experience.
• 7+ years professional experience with Solaris Operating Systems.
• Advanced experience with filesystem management including ZFS, ZPOOL, RAID, ZIL/L2ARC.
• Extensive knowledge with Solaris kernel (64-bit), build management, performance tuning, device drivers is required.
• Experience with scripting languages such as python, perl, and shell.
• A passion and drive for relentless innovation is required.

Responsibilities:

• System Lead for the Enterprise GeoCache Product Line.
• Perform kernel (64-bit), build management, performance tuning, device configuration on Solaris.
• Manage massive filesystem data sets using ZFS, ZPOOL, RAID, ZIL/L2ARC.
• Installation and support for existing and future customers .
• Domestic and International travel as needed.
