Java/J2EE Software Engineer

We currently have an immediate position available for an experienced Java / J2EE Software Engineer to support the development and migration of an existing product to a new web services platform in the financial industry. As a member of our core software engineering team, you will have an exciting and challenging opportunity to build “real-world” products from the ground up that revolutionize the way our customers visualize, analyze, and disseminate petabytes of data and information.

Minimum Qualifications:

• B.S. or M.S. degree in Computer Science, related field, or relevant experience.
• 5+ years professional experience in software development with Java / J2EE.
• Experience developing web based applications using web services, SOAP, and REST.
• Experience with frameworks such as Spring and Hibernate a plus.
• Strong working knowledge of Unix/Linux operating systems.
• Experience with COBOL Programming Language a plus.
• Experience with interoperability for Java and .Net.
• A passion and drive for relentless innovation is required.

Responsibilities:

• Write exceptional code as a key member of a large Software Engineering team.
• Migrate existing COBOL backend to Java/J2EE web services and SOA platform.
• Work with large teams to integrate J2EE web services stack with multiple clients
• Drive concepts to reality for next generation products.
• Support integration with .Net consumers.
• Domestic and International travel as needed.
