The co-founding team of Levy and Porcelli set the high standards found at OpenSGI:
Brian Levy: Mr. Levy has over 10 years of professional and applied experience in web-based geospatial application design and development, data interoperability, and technical program management. Mr. Levy has held key leadership positions as Project Manager, Technical Lead, and Software Architect for several federal and commercial clients. Mr. Levy has superior experience and knowledge in technical management, design, and development of high performance and interoperable geospatial solutions. He has applied his expert domain knowledge in direct support to the Defense Intelligence Agency and United States Marine Corps.
Frank Porcelli: Mr. Porcelli has over 14 years of professional experience in Software Engineering and over 9 years experience in Geospatial Information Systems Development. His experience includes providing program management oversight and full product lifecycle implementation to government and commercial contracts that require custom GIS solutions, as well as technical architecture modeling and design to advanced GIS systems and databases, systems integration and software development. Mr. Porcelli’s experience includes a five year stint at Technology Associates as a Senior Program Manager of geospatial intelligence programs, serving as Program Manager and OGC Developer/Integrator for the Defense Intelligence Agency. Previously, Mr. Porcelli was a Senior Developer and team lead for Northrop Grumman Information Technology (TASC) in support of the United States Marine Corps and a Senior Software Engineer for ITT Advanced Engineering and Sciences. At ITT he supported development of advanced digital signal processing systems. Mr. Porcelli began his career as an Operations Specialist/Developer for Exxon/Mobil Corporation and holds a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science from the University of Mary Washington.
